A message from Pastor Scott :

Hello to our Green Valley family and Hope House partners. I am writing to provide you with an update on the status of the Hope House. This is the first in a series of updates that I will provide to you. Over the past 18 months we have seen a significant change in our county which was accelerated by the pandemic. Some of these changes include decreased funding for several of our partner organizations which historically have been a critical first step for potential Hope House candidates. The result has been a decrease in viable Hope House candidates over the past year. In addition to the changes in funding, there has been an influx of new families moving into our county which is shifting the current needs in our community.

For these reasons we have decided to pause the Hope House program in order to re-evaluate the program and to better align our resources with the current needs in our community. The Executive Leadership Team and Elders are working with our community partners to help us determine how Hope House can best serve our community in this next season. This process is currently underway.

Friends, I am overwhelmed with gratitude by what God has done through your efforts and commitment at the Hope House. I think about all of the families that have been blessed over these many years. With that said, our hearts to support single moms with children will not change and we will continue to provide support for them. I am also confident that as we look to God, he will direct the leadership of GVCC and our amazing community partners on the best way to utilize the Hope House in this next season. We will continue to update you on the progress. I appreciate your prayers and support.
